I feel nearly as shredded as the wallpaper. I'm off to Home Depot to get spackle to start Phase 2. To paraphrase Nietzche and the guys from Queer Eye, "That which does not kill me makes my habitat look fabulous."
We had a great PPD meeting last evening. I'll have to type up the minutes after I get back from Home Depot. So much stuff to do. Fun, fun, fun. The group is coalescing into something strong and hopefully long lasting. Rain appears imminent. I'm outa here so I can get back before it pours. I'll update later.
Later: I got home just as it started to drizzle. I feel so lazy right now. I'm loathe to get on with the toil. I must do it, though, because Vel said she'd come over tomorrow to help paint. If I get all the prep work done today, the painting will be a breeze. Friday, I will veg out and be a zombie until class.
Even later: Sanding is done. I rest for a while before I go have at it with the masking tape. Go Cubbies!

I've got the episode of "That '70s Show" with Alice on tape. I think he's still hot no matter what anyone else thinks.

I heard about that, I think. It made all the Pagan boards, even up thisaway.
Our coven is participating in something up here. I know better than to volunteer this year, because I'll be in the thick of an album release, and lucky enough to have time to show up to the thing.July 27 2005, 14:31:24 UTC 6 years ago
Whoa, lady,
cut yourself some slack, will you :-)? That sounds like more work than - working :-P!July 27 2005, 15:18:52 UTC 6 years ago
Re: Whoa, lady,
Today's tasks should be considerably easier. I'll do a lot of it left-handed the way I have been so that one arm isn't rubbery at the end of the day. I may even get a primer coat on today if the rain stops early enough.Vel and I told

Alcohol. I've still got some scotch and rum and an assortment of wine to get loaded on tomorrow after the painting is done. I can't wait. It's really a lovely color. The closest approximation is HTML CC6600 with really gold undertones.July 27 2005, 18:23:41 UTC 6 years ago

That sounds nice.Restaurant first sounds better actually, but if that's not possible, at least a meal you don't have to cook.

Pizza delivery. Don't even have to leave the house.July 27 2005, 18:20:58 UTC 6 years ago
It'll be great to have it done though. Ya know, if you didn't mind traveling you could set up your own "let me clean up your habitat and organize your life" consulting service. :P

That may not be a bad business idea. The template is already in place: keep, sell/donate or toss. It works if the person is motivated by gratitude or because they're paying you for the service. It sure as hell doesn't work if the person is a complete nutjob.

Heh. The SO frequently wants to simplify. Well, simplify my stuff anyway. o.O Alas, I have half of the family clutter gene.

Hmmm. Not much to offer as a draw except cows and cheese. Ah well, onward through the muddle. :)
